Cut into the landscape, the Fontaineval valley is guarded at its entrance by the feudal Motte du Bois du Parc and the remains of the fortified enclosure of Fontaine St Denis, which face it. Before descending to the two ponds that mark its entrance, you can discover the industrial town of Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon and see the Tancarville and Normandy bridges in the distance.
